Saturday 18th November: Venus Pool

From Much Wenlock take the A458 north-west towards Shrewsbury. After about 7.5 miles, just before reaching Cross Houses, turn sharp left ( a very tight hairpin bend - if it's more of a right-angle you're on the wrong road! - ) along the unclassified road to Upper Cound. The entrance to the reserve is a little way along on the left as you go up the hill towards Venus Bank.

Saturday 20th May - Cold Weston Farm (meet at Potters Farm tree Nursery)

From the B4365 (which runs North-South across Ludlow racecourse, between the A49 and the B4368) take the road eastwards to Stanton Lacey, about one mile north of the A49 junction. Drive through the village and turn left at the T-junction just beyond the church. At the next T-junction turn left again (signposted Hayton, Sutton and Peaton). After c.1 mile look for a house on your right with large wrought-iron gates and a metal dolphin on the wall at the entrance. Just beyond here turn right at the red post-box - you will find Potters Farm c. half a mile along this lane, on the left. Ample parking in front of the house. Grid reference: SO510808.
